Unfortunately, I was unable to attend this wonderful reunion.   After graduating from LMHS, I attended Stephen F. Austin University for two years before quitting school to support my new husband and in 1976, have my daughter, Jennifer.  After my divorce, I married Ken Roesle in 1979 and moved to his home in Austin, where we are still living today.  Jennifer and her family also live in Austin which is wonderful for frequent visits with them and their two children.  Once in Austin, I returned to college part-time (ACC and UT) and eventually earned my Bachelor of Business Administration degree from UT 20 years after graduating from high school.  It takes longer for some of us than others!  For the next 15 years, I was a computer programmer at a large software firm and became active with my church, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran.  Once I was no longer programming, I returned to my first love, that of being an administrative assistant, for a few different companies in Austin until I retired in January of 2014.   During those years, Ken and I, who both love to travel and camp, spent many weekends camping at all of the nearby state parks and making several trips further afar as well.  Now that we’re both retired, we recently purchased a 5th-wheel travel trailer in order to go on those long camping trips that were not possible while we worked.  I have continued to be active in my church as its outreach and services expand, so the freedom to spend more time serving others is wonderful, as well as spending more time with grandchildren and the many accumulated friends and relatives who live in the Austin area.  My sister Cheryl’s two children, Chad and Amber, also live nearby.  Sadly, Cheryl passed away in 2004.   When my parents, Arthur and LaVerne Kalbow, retired in 1984, they built a home in La Grange, Texas in order to be halfway between their grandchildren, since Cheryl and her family lived in Sugar Land.  Dad passed away in 1999 and mom this past August.  I remember that sometimes when my sister or I broke up with a boyfriend, some of them would still drop by just to talk with mom, since she was such a caring listener.     I have fond memories of my high school years and all of the wonderful people that I came in contact with while there.

You are an amazing group of people. You gave your classmates a wonderful and cherished gift October 6 and 7 at our 50th La Marque High School Class of 1967 Reunion Because of your attention to detail, thoughtfulness, hard work and frankly, “classy” sense of style, we got the treat or a lifetime  Each of us was able to experience the joy of sharing time and memories with the people most of us spent our young lives learning and maturing with in a special community.   Much like the name of the film,  A Place in Time, we had just that for two days thanks to you. The  venue was ideal and beautiful, the food was excellent, program fun and those momento gifts perfect and first class. Even the boxes for the throws where elegant.  You thought of everything and the fine touches made it really special.  Richard donating the shrimp was so generous.   Each of you will always have a place in my heart for what you did  You took a lot of time from your full and busy lives to share and give.  I'm proud and honored to know you.  You set a benchmark to follow for  the people our children's ages.    I miss you and hope to see you soon.  And, anytime you're close to the Atlanta area, Kathy and I would enjoy having you as our guests.   God’s Blessings for you and your loved ones.     Carl

Just wanted to thank all of you on the Reunion Committee for a fabulous weekend.  Everything was done first class.  The venue was the perfect setting.  The food both nights was great, the decorations Saturday were beautiful and the door prizes were really cool (even though I did not win one LOL).   Everything was just perfect.  I know that hours and hours of hard work and organization went into making the perfect weekend for everyone that came.  It just could not have been any better. It was so great seeing all of you and the rest of our classmates.  I have such good memories of our class and our high school years.  We were so lucky to growup in that time. Again, thanks to all of you for a most memorable and enjoyable weekend that I will be reliving for weeks to come. Carol (Hudson) Broussard.

After graduation from University of Houston, I married andmoved to Kansas where I worked as an educator/counselorin Leavenworth, KS for 40 years.  After completion of my graduate degrees, I completed a LPC credential.   Following retirement, I have served on the School Board.     My husband and I have been married 25 years.  I have a son, Craig, and a daughter, Susan along with two step-daughters, Jennifer and Jill.    All four of our children and 6 grandchildren live in the Midwest.      We’ve been retired 6 years and have enjoyed the ability to spend time with family, travel, enjoy hobbies and just doing what we want when we want!   I come to League City every 6 weeks now to care for and spend time with my Mother who resides at The Crossings.     Thanks to the Reunion Committee for all their efforts in planning our 50th  Reunion!   Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Hello to all!  After attending college and majoring in Math, I moved to the Chicagoland area in 1972 and have lived here ever since.  Scott, my hubby of 40 years, is almost 71 years old and still working as a sales engineer for a German motor company and still enjoys it.  Might I mention that he has worked out of the house for the past 30 years and sets his own hours, so I think a hint of retirement is in there somewhere. He is still an avid bicycist and runner.  We have a son, Steve, who lives in Atlanta, GA and was recruited by Verizon Wireless during his senior year at University of Alabama.  He is doing well.  I retired a few years ago and love to quilt and travel.   My quilting has led me to wonderful ways I can help others with Quilts of Valor, Linus Int'l, fidget quilts, etc.   My mother died about five years ago, and my father died a few months ago, so sadly I now have no ties with the Texas City/LaMarque area.  I absolutely hate flying, so I have made a gazillion driving trips between Illinois and Texas over the years and know every  gas station, restaurant, and Comfort Inn between them.   I will not miss that part.  I hope you have a great reunion!

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the big 5-0! As most of you probably know, I spent the last 25 years of my full-time  career  living and working in the Middle East (Saudi, Bahrain, Dubai), the last 10 years as Risk Manager at Saudi Aramco.  Prior to that I lived in Beaumont, Dallas and Amarillo working as an energy  insurance broker and risk management consultant for the energy industry.

My wife Jackie and I met at a 4th of July picnic at the U.S. Navy base in Bahrian just after the 1st Gulf War and have a beautiful daughter, KellyAnn (17), who just received her acceptance to A&M where she will start next fall.  Kelly was 10 when we moved back to Texas (Lake Conroe north of Houston) and our main pastime since then has been following her through horse-riding competitions, gymnastics, Belles dance team, band marching and concerts, school golf tournaments, NHS and Cottillion.  My goal was to provide her with  the opportunity to grow up in a nice, safe  small town  with a great school (sound familiar?) so she could consider herself "from" somewhere, and so she could feel excited to attend HS class reunions and reminisce  with old friends about shared experiences from her youth.

I also have a son who lives in Orange (who's son is in the US Army), a daughter who lives here in Montgomery (and has two sets of twin boys - 12 & 8), and a step-daughter who lives in Dallas (who will be married in Puerta Vallarta in December, and who has starred in several Cake Wars and Cupcake Wars episodes).

Can't wait to see yawl, and wish we didn't have such a long list of "missing"!

Wow - 50 years seems impossible! We grew up in the best of times and in the best of places.  I have such good memories orf Highlands Elementary, LMJHS and LMHS, Girl Scouts, LM Presbyterian Church, Rainbow Girls.  Stewart Beach---yadda, yadda, yadda. I have enjoyed two careers in my lifetime.  The first half of my career was spent as Branch Manager at Texas Building Products, a wholesale building materials company.  The second half of my career was as Financial Services Manager at The United States Courts, Southern District of Texas.  While working for the court, I completed my BBA at U of St. Thomas and my MPA at U of Houston.  I was able to retire in 2016 and haven't looked back.  Bob and I have been married 46 years, living and raising our boys in Spring Branch(Houston).  We moved to Lake Houston in 2003 but that house will go on the market soon because we are moving to Austin.......We are back and forth working on both houses. Our  kids (Rob, wife Nathalie and daughter Lauren) (Ryan, wife Adrienne and daughters Addison and Ainsley) work in the tech industry and live in Austin as well as my brother, Tom. We have a newly acquired "child", Ace, our 2-year old White German Shepherd.  We travel as we can with Jamaica being my happy place. I think that is a born on the island ingrained thing. It seems like we always end up with a beach involved in one way or another.  I look forward to seeing everyone.....will miss those that can't be there!

I am happy to have lived in LaMarque and attended all 12 years in our schools.  I have many wonderful memories of all of the friends that I have made. After graduation in 67 I attended the U of H, served 2 years in the U S Army, finished U of H in 1975, worked at Brown and Root Engineering for 5 years and WorleyParsons Engineering for 37 years.  Retirement finally happened when I turned 66 and it has been amazing.  I look forward to seeing everyone.

To my dear friends. I must say time goes by so-o-o-o quick. I am looking forward to seeing you all. Mary Belle (Honey Bee) and I live in Colorado Springs and have for about 23 years. I retired from the Army in 1994 and became a Financial Advisor and quit working at the end of October 2016.  Back in the day, we babysat the child of one of HB's dearest friends, and years later his son attended The Air Force Academy and became their starting quarterback. So, we were very busy for four years supporting him and his family. He was from Clear Lake.  Some of you may know that George and Barbara Beeler had a home here in Colorado. George and I were able to spend quite a bit of time together before he lost his battle to cancer. I miss him but am so thankful for that time. My daughter and her husband are in Madisonville, Texas. My son-in-law is the Athletic  Director and Head Football Coach and my daughter is the Principal of the Intermediate School. Their son, the oldest of my eight grandchildren, just moved to League City and is working in the oil industry. My son and daughter-in-law are in Robinson, Texas on the south side of Waco. He is the head engineer for Tymco Street Sweepers.  They have five children. Dickie is still in Bay City. I miss Texas and need to get back home more often. However, since it is 69 degrees outside right now, I don't miss July in Texas. God Bless you all. See you soon.

Hello Classmates,

What a privilege we had growing up at that special place and time.  To me, you’ll always look like you did in high school.  I can’t wait to see you and hear about your lives.

My life really took off in 1974 when I married my beautiful, smart, gracious wife and best friend Kathy.  She has been a blessing to me every day and is loved by everyone who meets her.

After graduating from the University of Houston, I worked at the University of Texas Medical School before being recruited by IBM where I spent the next 32 years.  My assignments at IBM were challenging and allowed me to travel the world.  The company also sent me to Harvard and Wharton, a privilege.  I retired as a director in 2014 and launched my fulltime dog training business.

Today, I’m a canine behaviorist and master trainer.  I’ve trained dogs for the Border Patrol, Department of Public Safety, films, fashion industry and pet owners.  It has been a pleasure and also allows us to minister to people where they are hurting; never one complaint, just heartfelt gratitude which is the work of the Holy Spirit

In 2015, Kathy and I moved to Dacula, Georgia, Northeast of Atlanta,  because of our only grandchild, Sebastian who is four.  He is son of our oldest son, Anthony and his lovely wife Karolina who is from Poland.

We are blessed that our two grown sons, Anthony and Jonathan are well-educated fine men.

Many of you knew my mother and father who were exceptional people. Daddy passed away at 72 and Mom at 90. Kathy and I took care of Mom her last 21 years.  I think about them every day.

Let’s make this reunion the best ever and savior every moment.

Blessings,

Carl Cappolino

Hi LMHS Schoolmates!
I am really looking forward to seeing you all.

We have lived in Dallas TX, Amherst NH, Los Angeles, Atlanta GA, Dallas TX again, Spicewood TX near Austin, and Atlanta again.  We now live in the wonderful city of Johns Creek GA, a northeastern suburb of Atlanta.  We have been married since 1981, and Tom (a Baylor graduate) has three sons and two grandsons and a granddaughter.  Tom has started or turned around several retail businesses along the way.  We moved to the cities above with his various CEO positions, and we have enjoyed all the places we have lived.  I have had a career in advertising and marketing, which followed getting my MBA and PhD in Marketing at the University of Texas at Austin and  teaching Marketing there for five years while in graduate school.  Since then I have worked in advertising agencies in Dallas, Boston, and Atlanta, and then I started my advertising analysis and research business Haas Market Metrics in Atlanta in 1990. I was Tom's Marketing Director for seven years from 2006-2013. We have worked on turnarounds for several companies as consultants.   Tom and I now do some business and marketing consulting, but we are mainly retired and enjoying life.

We love Johns Creek and Duluth GA, and we are very active in our church Duluth First Methodist.  I play piano for choirs at our church,  and I give gospel piano concerts when people ask me to.  I piano accompany our Youth Choir, and the music is jazzy and wonderful, and the teens are a hoot!  We went on choir tour to Asheville NC and Wilmington NC last summer, 16 teenagers, and we will do so again in early June, heading to Savannah. Tom goes with me on choir tours, and I love that - the kids love it, too!   We do youth Christian music concerts and mission projects along the way.  I also play piano or organ as a guest musician for churches who need a fill-in.  One keyboard gig this weekend is at an open-air Anglican chapel at Lake Lanier.   I love the music so much!!!

For those of you who knew my parents Ode and Gloria Carlisle, Ode died in 2011 and  Gloria died in 2013.  We had moved them here to Atlanta in 2009, into assisted living, and we took care of them until they passed away.  They were the sweetest things ever!!!   Ode had his perfect memory until the day he died.

So we are really looking forward to seeing each one of you, and thanks so much to the team that got this 50th HS Reunion going.  I am really excited about it!
