I attended the 20th and now here we are at the 50th! So, what’s happened in the last 30 years? I was recruited by, and went to work for, NASA after being a support contractor for almost 10 years. I trained astronauts, built a Space Station, and managed the development of future human spacecraft. I retired on 30 September 2016. I met and married the former Kim Brown of Houston. We each had 2 children when we married and then, 5 years later, had a surprise with our 5th child - Hayley. We managed to raise all of them and now have 9 grandchildren and a granddog. Hayley graduated from UT last May, is currently in grad school at A&M, and will be married this coming January. Kim and I celebrated our 28th anniversary on the Saturday night of our class reunion. In 2004, I started a private engineering practice which I still continue so I guess I’m only semi-retired. Kim and I live in Fulshear (just west of Katy) where we enjoy being near 4 of our grandchildren. When we’re not in Fulshear or traveling, Kim and I spend as much time as we can at our property on the Llano River near Mason, TX. |

After graduating from Sam Houston State, I moved to Houston and started working for Exxon. I retired in 2009 after working there 38 years. David and I have been married 43 years and have three children—Brian (41), Chris (39), and Amanda (35). Luckily, all the kids live in the Houston area, which gives us lots of opportunities to spend time with our two granddaughters, Devyn (6) and Reagan (4). Being Mimi is the greatest job ever! We moved to Tomball in 1990. I wanted the kids to grow up in a small town like LaMarque, and Tomball fit the bill. David and I enjoy taking road trips, getting off the beaten path, and finding treasures in out of the way places. |
